Workplace Harassment

It’s unlawful to harass an employee under both Federal and Louisiana state law of any protected class, whether it’s on the basis of gender, age, race, religion, etc. Sexual harassment is most commonly thought of and can occur via requests that a person involve certain sexual acts in order to receive a benefit or promotion or just through inappropriate comments and gestures. An employee doesn’t even have to be the target of the improper comments and gestures to have a legal claim.
